About Yeda Hong

Yeda received her Bachelor of Laws and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong in 1999 and 2000.  She was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2002 and England & Wales in 2003.  She also obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Regent College, Canada, in 2023.  Yeda was then called to the bar of British Columbia and admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 2024. 

Yeda is a practicing barrister and solicitor in BC. She offers integrated legal advice and services on wills and estate planning, notarial matters, leases, and contracts. As a practicing solicitor of Hong Kong, Yeda also provides tailored legal support to BC clients in managing their cross-border assets and property transactions in Hong Kong.

Accredited as a civil mediator on multiple panels and rosters, Yeda effectively mediates a wide range of civil disputes in BC and US, including wills and estates, residential and commercial tenancies, housing and neighbour issues, workplace conflicts, business partnerships, contract issues, and matters involving non-profit organizations. She also works with the Bar Association of San Francisco as an independent contract mediator through their Conflict Intervention Service mediating housing and leasing disputes. Deeply committed to community engagement, Yeda serves on the board of the ADR Institute of British Columbia and regularly volunteers with Mediate BC to support public education and encourage the use of mediation to resolve conflicts.

Before relocating to Canada, Yeda was a Consultant of Johnson Stokes & Master, a leading law firm in Hong Kong.  She handled numerous land compulsory sale proceedings, real estate transactions, project development conveyancing and leasing projects during her 15-year tenure with the firm.  She was also involved in many land related mediations in Hong Kong.
